Default Content Controls (Drop Down copy and paste), and XML mapping

Hi there, I'm new to the forum and am a complete novice. I've been able to create a form, thanks to the posts here, that utilizes a content control drop down menu that XML maps to another portion of the word document, auto populating a series of paragraphs based on the choice made in the drop down menu. I have issues that I've encountered, however, and was wondering if someone can help.

The drop down menu has about 70-80 options I've entered to choose from, and I will need eight of the very same drop down menu optionschoose from, yielding eight different options that I can XML map/populate into the paragraph(s) below the page.

It's tedious to copy and paste/enter 70-80 of these options again and again to map. In fact, I have the lengthy content control drop down menu in another document. Is there a way to copy and paste content control options, or import them somehow and then XML map? I've tried to highlight and control C in the content control properties menu, but it does not work, and I can't find any way around the XML mapping menu.

Thanks so much in advance!

If you copy and paste a mapped content control within the document, you end up with a mapped duplicate. I assume that is NOT what you want.
Mapped Content Controls

On the other hand, if it is not a mapped control, and you copy it, each one will be indepedent. If you do need it mapped, you could map it after the fact using Greg Maxey's Content Control Tools or on your own.

You are welcome.

I use it at least once a month - anytime I want to map controls. I know he would appreciate another donation.
