Cleaning up Text Pasted from Websites, E-mails, PDFs etc.
well i tried all these but sadly none worked.


would some kind expert please find the way to remove all these returns?

I'm sorry, but the people trying to help you have no idea which ones you've tried. Saying "I tried them all" does not help.
Please follow the link I gave you and try the steps outlined there.
Report back on what happens, what you want to have happen and where it fails.

The procedures and macro in http://www.msofficeforums.com/word/2...s-e-mails.html work every Word version ever made for Windows or Mac. And, as I said, they work just fine for your document. Clearly, then, you have not 'tried them all', since it does work.

Replace = ^p
Find = ([!^13^l])([^13^l])([!^13^l])
Replace = \1 \3
Find = [^s ]{2,}
Replace = ^32
Find = ([a-z])-[ ^s]{1,}([a-z])
Replace = \1\2
Find = [^13^l]{1,}
Replace = ^p

Note: Depending on your system's regional settings, you may need to replace all the commas in the above Find/Replace expressions with semi-colons. For example:
[ ^s^t]{1,}^13
becomes:
[ ^s^t]{1;}^13

none worked for me in word 2002

So, did you click on the Find/Replace 'use wildcards' option? I'll bet not... You wouldn't even have to do that if you used the macro, so you evidently didn't bother trying that, either! So much for your 'tried them all' assertion.

Which is why the thread even includes a link to instructions for that. Regardless, you've just demonstrated the truth of what I said. You didn't click on the Find/Replace 'use wildcards' option and you haven't 'tried them all'.
