Hello,
I have a 296 page document I have been working on for a couple of years, and in the last few days the cursor has began to rapidly flash between pointer and busy icons. I have noticed it only happens after page 164, strangely. The section where the behaviour starts is only text, using styles, no different to elsewhere in the document. No section breaks or other formatting anywhere near it. Manipulating the document after page 164 is difficult, as the heading navigation I use stops working. The document is fairly complex, using extensive cross-referencing and an Endnote add-in with >600 references. The behaviour occurs on different PCs. If I am on a page >164 with the flashing cursor, other instances of word open simultaneously also experience flashing. I use OneDrive to save. The behaviour seemed to coincide with the AutoSave feature starting to crash regularly - I turned that off, but the cursor flash continued. Unsure of timings so uncertain if that was related. Any ideas appreciated, a week away from submitting my thesis and this is highly irritating! |
