Autocorrect changing dash to fraction.
Whenever I type a dash - Words automatically change the dash into a fraction after I typed a word and pressed my space bar. (see attachment). How can I switch this off. AutoCorrect Options
File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options Find the entry and delete it. You may also want to look at the AutoFormat as you Type tab while you are there. Most experienced Word users turn the bulk of these off, finding them more annoying than helpful. |

I checked the auto correct before posting the threat. Cannot find it in the options.

Did you look, not in the options, but in the list of replacements?
00 deleteme 1.png If it is not there, try starting Word in safe mode and see if it happens. If it does not in safe mode, write back and someone will help you. In the meantime, remember, UnDo (Ctrl+Z) is your friend. |

Problem still persisting
I looked in the list of replacement, as well as the mathematical auto correct options, could not find it in the list.
Tried starting Word in Safe mode. It still changes when I type the hyphen. Been using (Crtl+Z) about a 1000 times this week to undo this change. |

Problem solved
I believe that I found the answer. I am using ABC Junior Typing font. It seems that it is a setting within the font that change the hyphen.
When I selected another font, the change did not take place anymore. Thank you for all the help. |
