Default Text box- pasting issue

MS Word 2016. I've got a text box- no fill, no line, wrap- in front of text, some text in the text box- font, color, outline etc. The size is relatively small and the text box intended place is between two horizontal lines. There is need to increase the space between the lines to nestle the text box. I need to use the same text box, by coping, pasting and slightly editing the text in it. After positioning the cursor somewhere in the lower line and pasting, the text box is placed (as intended) roughly between the two lines, but it is bordering the left margin. Dragging is involved to adjust the final position of the text box. Finally, after this dry and boring explanation, the question: Is it possible to paste the text box near the blinking cursor? If so, how to achieve it? Thanks for the patience!
