"linked file is not avaiable" error when using mathtype
Hi,
I'm writing a long word document and using mathtype for equations. When i try to enter a new equation comes the errror: "the linked file is not avaiable. To edit the link click on flile tab exc...". Searching online I know now that this is probably related to some missing excel charts (I can see them on word but i've deleted them on the excel documet).I dont need to have them on the excel document, it's fine just to see them on word, but when i use mathtype it tries to update the links and the error comes out and crashes word. I dont want to recreate all the charts because there are a lot of them, and I dont need them: I'm wondering if there is a way to workaround not to get the word to crash on every mathype equation. The charts on the word document are fine to me, i can change their dimension and that's all I need. I dont get how word can show me the charts if it doesnt find the link.. if it can i should be able to work just fine. A sub optimal solution would be to convert all the charts to images, but I dont know how, and I dont want to do that with the snipping tool. I feel kind of sad that the top writing software have these issues. Hope you guys can help me, thank you for your patience. Andrea |
