Inserted Image in Form to show larger image on Click
Hello
I am trying to create a form, with regular fields like name, address etc. I need to have a field where in I can insert an image (when I am filling up the form) and then send it. The person who receives it, can then click on the inserted image to view a larger image. Can this be done? Please guide me. thanks |

Hello
Yes, I read the information, and have created the word template and the word form from that template. What the rest of the work flow is: 1. Create word template with image control and other form elements. This I can do but only with legacy image control, I get the vba function, not with the new image control. 2. Create word document, click on the image field, and choose the image. 3. Save the form in pdf/word format, and send to client. 4. The client clicks the image, to view a larger image. So, first, image has to be chosen. Then that image in pdf.word format has to be clickable to view a larger image. This is ok, if I can do only in Word and not in PDF. thanks |

Except for the fact what you want can't be done with a documents saved as a PDF, there is nothing to stop the MACROBUTTON method described in the link working in a document that contains formfields. Simply insert Section breaks either side of where you want the picture(s) to go and leave that Section of the document unprotected. The process will work best, too, if you save the document in the older .doc format.

OK, I tried with the vba code, but not with the macro button. The vba did not work. It only worked for choosing the image. Then I protected the file, and saved as docx. But when I re-opened the protected file, when I clicked on the image, nothing happened.
Thanks |

You really should pay attention to what I've posted both here and in the other thread.

Hello
I cannot add pictures to the document, until I fill it up in form format. I cannot add the pictures to the macro command, since I won't know until I am filling up the form, which Picture I am going to use. thanks |

If you look in the MACROBUTTON field, you'll see two images. Simply change those when you're editing the form.

Oh, OK.
I did all that, and pressing F9, does not close the macro button. Rather, it just shows up the whole code, whether I save as .dotm or .doc. thanks |

You evidently have Word's field code display toggled 'on'. Try pressing Alt-F9.

So press F9 to update the field display.
Kindly also post your attachments here instead of on a third-party site. You do that via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Hello
Thank you for working with me on this. I have been able to enable the macros, and run that without any errors now. Just one thing, I know this is discussed in the link you provided, but can this be done in .dotm file also, without the spaces, or is it still not available? thank you once again. |
