Default I dare you to delete page 2

Please have a look at my resume. No, I'm not applying for a job at Microsoft (shudder). I'm reporting a bug. Notice that this resume is two pages long when it really only needs to be one page long. Page 2 is completely blank, making me look like an idiot when applying to computer programming jobs because Microsoft continues to prove how much of a **** up it is. Why is Microsoft such a **** up? Well, besides absolutely poor managements, it's because, in this case, it's impossible to delete page 2. Go ahead! Try it! I dare you! You can't do it!

Therefore, I take it upon myself as one of the few left in the software industry who thinks that quality in software is a virtue to report a bug in Microsoft Word. Hopefully someone listens (doubtful). But be my guest... see if you can delete page 2.

That was easy! See attached.

Do you have any real challenges?.

PS: Do yourself a favour and learn how the software works. This 'issue' is probably older than you are...

This is not a "bug" but an unwanted side-effect of software working the way it is designed.

As Paul said, not only has this problem been known for more than twenty years, in all versions of Word, but so has the solution or workaround.

See Deleting “Blank” Pages.

Perhaps :
1. How do I encourage posters to search the web / forum before posting?
2. How do I encourage posters to read the stickies in the " Word" forum?
