Default Saved Word docs not showing up in My Documents in Word

I work in a small office where two of our computers are on the network and I work at the other desk 2 days a week when the other person is gone. The last 2 days that I worked at the other desk and either saved new documents back to my computer or opened on the other Word docs saved on my computer to make revisions and then saved them again to my computer, I have not been able to see them in the list of "my documents" on my computer. However, when they do show up in the list of "my documents" for my computer when it is searched on the other computer. We then saved one of my documents in question on the other computer. I can then open it up on my computer when I search for it on the other computer, but when I attempt to save it in my documents on my computer, it asks if I want to replace the existing file - which I cannot find on my computer! I do have it search "all files" when I bring up the list. Sorry, I probably didn't explain this very well. Any assistance would be much appreciated!

Do you have Windows set to display hidden and system files? The ~ locking file is in that category.

See the following screenshot. This is in Windows File Explorer, not in Word.

There are further options available under the Options button on the View Tab.

You've got the dialog you need.
It is the same one as I showed in my second screen shot (which is from Win 10).
As shown, it should show the files I am talking about.

It occurs to me that the my documents folder you are accessing from the other computer may not be the same folder as you are using on your computer, even though they are both on the same computer and have the same name.

On my screen shot, these are the boxes that were checked prior my inquiry on here - I did not check or uncheck any - and why I was having problems.

Regarding the folders, I am Deb-PC and the other computer is Moritz-PC. When I am the Moritz-PC computer, I pulled up files on Deb-PC, made revisions and saved back to Deb-PC. However, I cannot see those revised files on Deb-PC, but the Moritz-PC can see them on Deb-PC, but they are apparently on my computer as when I attempt to resave them to Deb-PC, it says it asks if I want to replace an existing file.

Exactly the point of my last post. The location you are saving in from Moritz-PC may not be where you are looking when you are on Deb-PC. Each user account on a computer has a My Documents folder and they may look alike when accessed remotely. When you are on your own computer, you only see one unless you really look. They are under C:\Users.
