Need to create a template that can't be broken!
Hi all,
I'm pretty new to Word (on a mac) and was just tasked with creating a template for a newsletter that each department in my company will generate based on the same template. The template will be as follows: • There will be a locked header and footer • 2 columns (2" wide) with 1/4" gap between the columns. These will be positioned on the right hand margin • left and right margins will be 3/4" • There will be 3 pictures vertically placed with a one line caption underneath that will be 2 1/4" wide. What I would like to do is create a template that the users from each department can just plug in their text (also want to keep the text at a locked size and style), and place the images in the 3 allotted boxes. What we are trying to do is keep the individuals who will be using this from playing "designer." Keep everything formatted and consistent without deviation. Is this possible? |

You can apply Word's editing restrictions to limit what the users can do with documents created from the template (or to the template itself), including the Styles that can be used. See: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...0-C9FCA419DADF
