Centering isn't working in my document(title and name)
I'm an author. In my document, when I enter the title and my name it should be centered but it's not. I can see that it's slightly off. Why?
I'm talking about at the top of the document Title of Book by My Name It's off by several letters of being centered. I use the default page setup, hit "center" for the alignment, then type in the info, but it's off. Any ideas? Thanks! Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 01-09-2018 at 07:12 AM. Reason: Mark as solved |

You should use the Title and Subtitle styles for these and modify them to be centered rather than direct formatting.
Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word No one can tell you why centering seems to be off without looking at a sample document. Please attach one without any proprietary information. How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum. |

Thanks, Charles, that worked.
Then I tried to duplicate the uncentered one, but now it centers. So maybe doing that "fixed" it, lol. |
