Exclamation Change page size reducing both margins

Hi,

I am getting a major headache trying to solve this, so any kind of help will be very much appreciated!

So, the thing is: I have several Word documents each with several pages. These documents are the result of a OCR program (which converted PDFs into Word docs). There are many pages with a different page size, for some reason. For example, the first three pages are A3-sized, whereas the rest are A4. Now, I'm trying to make all pages the same size (A4), but every time I change it, Word shortens the page from the right margin and consequently cuts off the content, which leaves me with no other choice but to manually move every text box and image to the left and recreate the original layout. I have tried to select all boxes and images, make it a group and then move it (I have the latest version of Office), but it seems I can't because the text boxes are frames, and not "text boxes" properly speaking, and I haven't found a way to turn those frames into text boxes (I found a forum where a user proposes a macro to do this, but that macro didn't work on any of my documents).

So my question is: Is there any way in Word I can change the page size cutting both from the right and left margins (and not only from the right margin), leaving whatever is in the middle untouched?

I hope I have expressed myself clearly enough...

Any help will be appreciated, I AM DESPERATE!

I'm sorry to tell you that conversion programs create very poor Word documents, documents that are incredibly difficult to edit. This is true no matter which program is used for the conversion. They make Word documents that look like the original but contain formatting that would never be used in a native Word document, like the frames your reference or multiple section breaks.

The way I deal with this, if I want a Word document to edit, is to paste into a Word document as plain text and format in Word.

Not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure.
