Word 2016 field updating problem
Hi Guys, I got a problem with updating the field in Word. For example, when I try to update a cross-reference "Figure XX" in the document, the field will be updated but it will put the original figure in there as well. This means if I have three cross-references "Figure XX" in one paragraph (no figures), there will be three figures in the paragraph after updating the fields. It creates actual Figures with the cross-reference! How do I solve this problem? Thanks in advance. |

Your description suggests you may be using 'Track Changes', which means both the original reference and the updated reference will be present until the changes are accepted/rejected.
Otherwise, without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.
