Dropdown content control and tables
Hi, can anybody explain me is it possible to have a dropdown menu in word document and depending what you choose from dropdown, different table is shown below dropdown menu. It is hard for me to explain what i mean so i attached example. In example i have 3 options and there is 3 tables with text form fields included. I want that word show only table that is selected in dropdown menu. This is easy to do in InfoPath but infopath mess my forms on differnet version and there is some other reasons i want to do it in word. It will be very helpful for my job if this is possible to do. P.S I`m not so advanced word user so i will be very grateful if you attach me an example doc. |

Your document contains a dropdown formfield, not a dropdown content control. You could use three IF tests to insert whichever of the three tables you want. However, those tables could not contain formfields of their own and none of the content would be editable. Consequently, any solution to your problem would require some programming and for the code to be either:
a) stored in the document's template; or b) stored in the document itself. The approach to be taken depends on what you plan to do with the document.
