I can create a style by manual means using font style, colour and size. I can set the rulers and justify. The problem is I can't edit the actual style directly. When clicking on a style and selecting modify, I can use drop downs and buttons but to make it more professional I need to get directly to the text. For example, I have in the bottom text box...
Indent: Left: 4 cm, Right: 4.59 cm, Based on: DIALOGUE, Following style: DIALOGUE I want it to be : Left: 4.5 cm, Right: 4.5 cm I can't type the figures in and have to use the ruler and hope for the best. Surely I should be able to type this the way I want it? |

You can't directly edit anything in the description panel - you need to click on Format>Paragraph>Indents and Spacing to change the indents through that window.

Paul's directions assume that you are in the style modification dialog. The Format dropdown is in the bottom left corner.
