I am trying to referece a certain Federal regulation that requires putting a small "c" in parentheses like this: (c).
Word is automatically converting it to a "copywrite" symbol.


How can I change whatever setting is causing this?

Tools > Autocorrect Options
Select the line that for (c) (it is the first on in the list)
Click the Delete button
