Grey page numbers and equations with blue boxes around - how to turn off?
Hi!
Some time ago, I started to have a problem with my Word 2010. When I add page numbers, they are gray, and have a blue box saying "Page numbers (top)" around them, which prevents me from seeing where exactly the numbers are going to be. What is worse - a kind of similar thing happens with my equations. If I just add an equation, all I write is automatically grey and italicized, the mathematical spacing doesn't work there (e.g. there is no space around the "=" sign), and the whole thing is between blue boxy thingies (this time with no text). The only way to add a normal equation is to choose a template (like the area of a circle) and then edit it. All of it disappears upon printing, but it's still annoying, as it makes it harder to format the document well. I'm adding a screenshot to show you what I mean. Does anyone know how to remedy it? |

Go to the Developer tab and click on 'Design Mode'

Sometimes, knowing what it is you're looking at is half the battle.
