Default Form Fields Problem

I am working on a small word document (which will be protected) with form fields, and I have run into a tabbing/alignment problem. This form must be printable on one page, so I have limited to number of characters that can be entered on each field. This works as it should, however, if a user presses the Enter key in any of the text fields, it will add a break and add a page to the document.

Is there any way to disable the enter button while the user is inputting data into a field - or even change the enter button to act as the 'Tab key' while in a form?

Last question - is is possible to setup word to autotab fields if they are full?

An example would be a phone number field split into 3 fields, limited to 3, 3 and 4 numbers. Once the user would fill in their first 3 numbers it would tab to the next section. Is this possible?

Thank you for your help!

To limit the length of text that can be entered: Put the form field inside a table row and set the row height to "Exactly" whatever you want.

I don't know about the automatically tabbing to the next field.
