When, i try to install the Chinese, Japanese, Lao, Tibetan, or Amharic language packs for Office 2007, the checkmark with the letters ABC beside it will not show up, even though I have installed the language packs. [IMG][/IMG]

Are the languages enabled as editing languages when you go to File|Options|Language?

How do you enable them?

I have enabled Chinese for all versions of Chinese and the checkmark with the ABC besides it still will not show up.

The presence (or absence) of the ABC is of no consequence for Chinese proofing.

By clicking on 'enable' - if they're present. If they're not present, they're not installed.

Well, I have went into options and enabled all variants of Chinese in Office 2007 and the black checkmark with the letters "ABC" are nowhere to be seen.

Go to Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office.
What entries do you see there?

This is what I see. I see that the Japanese and Chinese language packs are installed in Microsoft Office, but no checkmark with the letters "ABC" besides in it in Microsoft Word/Office 2007. I am using Windows 10.

Have you actually tried selecting some text and applying Chines (or whatever) proofing to it? It works for me without even needing to have a language pack installed...
