Default Buggy cursor related to Pens/Ink?

Hello all,

I am new to this forum and not an advanced user, so please be patient with me!

Since yesterday, my cursor randomly decides to move wherever it wants on a whim (so annoying) but only when Word is open.

I have a Spectre 360X, which means I have a touch screen laptop that converts to a tablet. I had this problem before. I remember disabling something to do with the touchscreen parameters to resolve the problem but yesterday, I just did the last large windows update and the problem is back. I assume the setting I turned off has been updated and turned back on. It is not a hardware problem since it happens equally with an external mouse and trackpad. Since I know one of the big components of the new update was about the inking feature and it seems to be happening when word is open (and that uses the touch screen) I am thinking it is linked to that.

So my question is: Does anyone know how to turn off or uninstall that feature? Or have any other software related suggestions?

I am writing my dissertation right now and this is making my life a living hell!
Thanks in advance.
