Default Custom Form Check Box's

I am working on a form for a friend in MS word and he would like the check boxes to be more noticeable when checked (he actually wants a reg check that's bigger than the check box).

Is there any way to change the default form check box style in MS word to an image, or some other way to change the check box styles to make the checked boxes stand out more?

Thanks!

No. You can not customize the built-in legacy formfield checkboxes.

You can create your own interactive toggle objects, but using them in a protected form would be troublesome. See: http://gregmaxey.com/Add_Toggle_Objects.htm
