Thanks

I didn’t know or even suspect any of the aspects you mention (tabs, filling), just relying on my intuition to try Multilevel list to work.

So I removed all tabs in heading styles and everything works.

But I notice now that, due to what you mention "The numbering inserts a tab after the number to separate the text from the number", the space between number and wording suddenly increase to the "next" tab when numbering is wide enough.

Is there any way to cancel that behaviour? I only want a fixed number of blanks between number and text.

I unchecked automatic formatting for styles as well

thanks
