Default Disable Check Boxes

I have check boxes in a document that I created. They work fine, but when I send it to another person and he cuts and pastes it into his document the check boxes become question marks. I there a way to disable the check boxes so they can be cut and pasted as they appear in my document? The document the person is pasting into is an online form. I don't know what type.

If you don't want them to be active checkboxes you can convert them to a square symbol. Otherwise, look into the old checkit and uncheckit macros used with the original fax forms.
Checkbox Add-In
Add Interactive Toogle or Sequenced Object to Document

That uses symbols instead of active checkboxes.

Default Thanks...

...but I was hoping for a simpler solution like a button that magically disables all check boxes. I'm not wanting to change my form, it took too long to create all those check boxes (many check boxes). I'm thinking my only solution is to save the form as a PDF file and let him cut and paste that. It'll look a little funky, because things don't line up exactly even, but I don't know what else to do. Thanks again.

If they're content control checkboxes, simply save the document in the older .doc format; they'll be converted to text. Depending on how the pasting is being done, even that or pdf conversion may not prevent the conversion when pasting into another document.
