Default lines aren't visible in "normal" view

When I'm in Normal view, a lot of the times straight lines aren't visible. For example, when I draw a straight line for a person's signature, the line isn't visible. But it is visible in "Print" view. (I guess I'm not really "drawing" a line. I just use the underscore key.) Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

Not 100% certain, but Word might be converting your underscores to a drawing object, and these are not visible in Normal view.

Hello emrlaw,

how do you exactly draw the line?

When you finish, do you enter or just move your cursor away? My suggestion is to hit enter every time you finish "drawing - typing".

I hope it helps

Mike
