Default formatting a chronology

I am including a chronology of historical events in my ebook.
I made a table in Word 2010
I used one column for the date, and one column for the event. I made the border lines invisible For example:

[1st column:] 1945 [2nd column:] End of World War II

But when I convert this on the Kindle Previewer, the border lines show. Apparently Word tables do not convert well to Kindle ebooks.

So I must find another way to create this chronology. Perhaps there's method using paragraph spacing? Kindle books also do not accept tabs. Any ideas about how to do this?

Thank you!

Have you tried converting the table to text before doing the kindle conversion?

yes, I think you are right. That is the only way to do it. I will give up on my idea of a table-ish looking chronology. Thank you!

A table converted to text will retain a tabular structure, typically with tabs used to achieve a columnar layout. You will have issues, though, where cells previously contained wrapped text.

Kindle ebook formatting does not allow any tabs! I think I will have to resign myself to the fact that a tabular structure without a table is not possible
Thank you for your thought!
