Default Editing Fields in Office 365 for Mac????

I have Office 365 for Mac installed on my machine and I am trying to edit a field in my Table of Figures and when I right click on the files I only have the toggle field codes and update fields option and no edit fields like I do in the Windows version??? How do I edit the field?? I have tried everything I know and can find this function.

You don't edit the field - whether on a Mac or a PC; you edit the appropriate document content then update the field so it reflects the edits.

I know how to update the TOC after I do edits in the document. I am talking about how do I EDIT the TOC Field parameters such as spacing, indent, fonts etc.

The should be a "Edit Field" selection when I right click on the TOC field and it's NOT there. Only "update field and "toggle field codes". The Edit Field option should be there as it is in the Windows versions?

You still don't edit the field; you edit the corresponding TOC Style.

Ok, I will give it a try, just frustrated when I switched to the Windows version and the "Edit Field" function is there when I right click on the field and when I switch to the Mac version it's not there. Thanks for your help.

The "Edit Field" function on the Windows version would not allow you to do this either; it's only for editing the TOC field, not a TOC Style - the two are completely different and independent.

Then where is the function to EDIT a TOC field located since it's not part of the right mouse click menu anymore in Word 365 for Mac?

I have no idea where that function is on a Mac. Regardless, that's irrelevant for solving your TOC formatting problem.
