Avoid continous breaks turn into page breaks
Hi there,
I want to add line numbering to a specific section (one single paragraph) of a word document. The procedure I follow is: 1. Add section break continous before and after the paragraph 2. Then with the cursor inside the paragraph I do: Layout > Line numbering options: Section start: continous Apply to this section However, it converts the continous breaks into page breaks. How can I avoid this? [Edit by CKK as moderator - I marked this as solved because it is no longer a problem for the original poster. We still do not know what the source of the problem was.] Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 09-14-2017 at 12:43 PM. Reason: Mark as solved |

Does it change both section breaks or just one?
I can't replicate this behavior in Word 2003 or 2013. Both simply add line numbering to the selected section. What happens if you start Word in Safe mode? Same problem? |

It does change both breaks. As you can't replicate it, itseems to be a bug of my Word version. I am afraid I dont know how to start it in Safe Mode in Mac. |
