Embedded Excel file converts to Word - FileSendAsAttachment
This seems to be a new development and I can;t figure out the cause...
I'm using Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 FileSendAsAttachment is in the Quick Access Toolbar (in the Commands list this is the one labeled Email) My Word doc has an embedded Excel doc (embedded as an Icon) I open the Excel doc and add data I select the Email icon from the Quick Access expecting the Excel doc to be attached to a new email as an Excel doc. However, the Excel doc is converted to a Word doc. Not at all desirable to have it converted to Word, plus the Word doc can't be opened. The only way I've found to keep the Excel doc in Excel format when emailed from within the Word doc is to save the Word doc as a Word Template, but the system I'm uploading to will not accept a Word Template so a useless format. Again, this is a somewhat new issue, but no idea hen it stopped working as expected. Thoughts? |

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?
