Default Truncating Words in a List

I have a long list of words and phrases:



Science
Education
Music and Arts
Government and Politics

How do I use Find and Replace to truncate those to, say, the first 5 letters of each?

Scien
Educa
Music
Gover

Unless there is a large number of expressions you want to truncate, a series of Find/Replace operations would suffice.
