Hello
I write pathology reports with specimen/report number at the top of the document e.g. ND1423-17. In Office 2010, when I saved the document it would (quite cleverly) use this number as the default filename - which is exactly the way I want it. I have now updated to Office 2013 (old I know, but that is the latest version our organisation uses). This does not save my reports in the way described above - so I have to manually type in the report number in the filename field each time I want to save a specimen report document. I've trawled through the Options but cannot find the relevant setting. Can someone advise please ? Thanks |

Use the Title Document Property Content Control to hold your Report Number. It need not read "Title" but rather can read "Report Number."
See Repeating Data Using Document Property Content Controls and Other Mapped Content Controls for information about renaming it. You can create a custom template that already contains this Content Control. |
