The size/height of absolute value symbols is different for positive and negative numbers. For example, a 3 inside absolute value brackets produces smaller bookend symbols than -3.
Is there a way to make the sizes uniform? |

In Word 2010 the look the same. See attached. Do they print the same for you?

Thanks for replying, Paul.
I have MS Word 2011. They print out different sizes. |

In that case, the best I can suggest is that you either:
• try reducing the point size for the negatives; or • upgrade to a later version.
