Default How to show what changed for future readers

After changes have been made to a document (via Track Changes) and then reviewed/approved, how do I indicate to future readers what changes are in this latest version of the document? In other programs, I've seen a bar at the left margin on every line that was changed since the last version, but I don't know how do this in Word 2007 and 2010. Am I just missing something? Thanks.

Word cannot 'track' changes after they have been accepted/rejected, which is what the Changed Line can be used for. If you go to Review|Track Changes>Change Tracking Options. There you can set the colours etc. for insertions, deletions, and so on, plus whether and where to show a Changed Line. You could, for example, set deleted content to hidden (or, perhaps just accept deletions) and display additions as per the normal text in the document. That way, all that would be apparent is the Changed Lines.

Thank you. I did look at Options, but I did not see anything that indicated marks that would be left after all changes had been accepted and the document had been saved and sent to interested users. I will take another look and see if I can see anything that pertains to what I need.
