How to delete all names in brackets and the brackets themselves from a document with a single find/replace operation? John (John) Robert (Rob) Maximilian (Max) Peter (Peter) Allan (Al) desired result: John Robert Maximilian Peter Allan I thought this would work, but it doesn't: Find: (*) Replace: |

Did you check the 'use wildcards' option?
You'll also need: Find = \(*\)
