Question Even with a 3" top margin, word 2016 starts typing at top of doc in print view

I thought print mode shows the doc as it would really be on the page....?

Even with a 3" top margin, word 2016 starts typing at the top of doc in print view (just below the page top, by centimeters)

Thoughts?

Been a problem for people for years. It is an option that is fairly easy to trigger by mistake.

Smile Right on. Thank you!

Oh, how surprising! I would never have expected that option to have that effect. You were right on, Charles. I unchecked it and the page shows as it should.
Thank you!

You are welcome.

Double-clicking between the page and the ruler will also trigger this. That is probably how it got checked to start with.
