Default File New Dialogue

I have added File New (Document or Template) to Word 16 but when I press the icon, I get my templates listed in icon form. I can change to List but would like it to default to List.

I can't remember how I did this a few years ago and I've just set up a new computer which I'm trying to customise.
Can anyone help, please?

You might want to change your profile to reflect Word 2016.

I profess to know a lot about the File New dialog, but this is one thing I don't know. I will do some looking.
