Font Size: Points to Inch Query
I am designing some labels stickers in MS word. In word 1 inch = 72 points, but in my label it should be 1 inch = 100 points.
I am using a formula to convert which is: MS Word Point = (Given Point x 72) / 100 So for suppose i need to print a text with 8 points(given) the MS word point would be "5.76" , but MS word does not allow 5.76. Is there any setup with which 5.76 is allowed in MS word ?? OR can we setup 1 inch =100 points in MS word??? Thanks Amith |

Points are a measurement, like centimeters and inches. You cannot arbitrarily change the value of a point and expect Word will play ball.

A Point is a unit of measurement, which equals 1/72 inch. It is not a 'Word' thing; it's an international standard. The finest point increment Word will work with for a font is 0.5pt. If you need something finer, you'll need to either:
a) use a PRINT field to generate the output (not for the faint-hearted); or b) insert the content into the document as an embedded object which you can then re-scale to suit.
