Lost .docx file
Had to re-install Windows 10. Before doing this I backed up my computer using the Windows back-up. After re-installing Windows 10 I am able to find all of my files, except one. It was the only file I had pinned to always show up as a recently used file. Are pinned files stored in a different file location than other Word documents? |

Hi!
The recently used files are stored in the registry... Have you backed it up? Good luck! Souriane |

Souriane, thanks for your reply.
I used only Windows backup. However I do have a folder named HPReg_Backup. Within this folder are two files hta and htafile. Could the file be in there? If so, how would someone go about finding it? Your help is much appreciated. Day Treker |

Hi Day Treker,
If you don't know about the registry, you are better not to mess with it... It can mess up your computer in no time. I can't help you more, sorry! Souriane |

Souriane, thanks for letting me know about the registry.
I will not mess with the registry and assume the files are lost forever. Day Treker |
