2-Column layout breakes with images/groups
Hi All - I'm setting up a Word template with two columns for a client. It contains images (or rather grouped objects with images and captions) that the client should be able to move around according to his needs.
I can place the group and have it looks nice, like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7y4n90at3w...0nice.png?dl=0 But I take it and drag it to a different position, if often happens that huge gaps are created in the layout: https://www.dropbox.com/s/avaxn4em24...ngled.png?dl=0 (there are no page or column breaks inserted here) It seems that this is caused by word refusing to break paragraphs in which the group's anchor is across pages. I can mess around (ie add a line break in the paragraph) and somehow that fixes the situation sometimes, but I don't really understand why and how to avoid it in the first place. Text wrapping ist set to "Top and Bottom", and it doesn't seem to make a difference if I check "move with text" or "Fix position on page" The group I'm using here consists of an image and a caption, but the same problem occurs with textboxes, diagrams etc. Cluesless right now. Thanks for any good advice, Ben |
