Can you change grammar rules?
I don't recall seeing this before (it might be a product update or something), but suddenly the words "title company" have a blue underline, which doesn't go away until I capitalize: Title Company. "Title company" is not a proper noun, just as "tech company" or "fish bait company" are not proper nouns, so Word shouldn't indicate a grammatical error. Word apparently thinks that the name of the company is "Title," as in "Title Company, Inc."
I work for a mortgage company (also not a proper noun), so I encounter this regularly, and it's driving me nuts. Is there any way to go in there and have Word accept "title company" the same way I can add a new word to the spelling dictionary? I'm not seeing it anywhere. Please let me know. Thanks |

You can change grammar settings. It is under File > Options > Proofing > Settings.00 deleteme 4.png
My Word 2013 has no problem with title company. 00 deleteme 3.png Note that "Capitalization" is checked as an option in my setting. Do you, by chance, have any third-party grammar checker running? You are using Word 2013? |
