Your Word installation may have a corrupt 'Building Blocks.dotx' file. Close Word, then go to:
C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Document Building Blocks\1033\ and delete or rename the 'Building Blocks.dotx' file there. Word should create a new one when it re-starts. Note that any customisations in your existing 'Building Blocks.dotx' file will no longer be available. You may be able to retrieve them by opening the damaged one for editing.

For Word 2013, you should delete the Built-In Building Blocks.dotx file.
