Lock in Watermark

I have a sensitive document with a watermark across it. The document is my intellectual property.
I have been asked to supply the document on a thumb drive to a third party, but I have a concern that they can remove the watermark off the document on their PC and claim it as their own.


Can I lock the watermark so that it can only be removed from my PC and no other?

Nothing you do can prevent someone stealing your IP once they have access to it. All you can do is make it harder. For example, you could supply the document as a watermarked PDF, where the content is an image of each page. Even better if the images have random patterns that will confuse an OCR process.

Reiterating what Paul has told you. There is no way to do what you ask. If someone can see your document, they can copy it. All you can do is make it harder.
