Inserting 3 pictures in a row in Word

I have tried many picture formatting options but cannot achieve what I want.

At the very end of a normal, single column A4 document in MS Word, I simply want to add three photos in a single row.

If this is not possible in Word, should I use Microsoft Publisher instead? I tried that also, but could not discover how to create a box for each picture.
