Default Underlining in black under different colors

I am making a sign and some of the text is in colors how can I underline in all black? I have tried to use the boxing function and use just the bottom lines but it puts a complete box around all the text not just the bottom. What I get looks like the sentence below. I want the underline all black.

Test Sentence underline all in black not black and red
Any help you can offer is apperciated.
