Hi! I'm a grant writer. Many grant applications are online. I always like to work in an offline copy of the online application form. The online forms use text boxes where we type in narrative content. When I copy and paste these online forms into Word, I'm left with what look like scrolling text boxes that I can't seem to delete. For example, in the attached file, you can see the scrolling text boxes within the table cells. I can't delete those text boxes. I can' even see them using the Object Viewer Pane. But I can type text into the boxes, and the scroll bars are fully functional. I would very much like to delete these text boxes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try attaching a document rather than a screenshot.

Your document mostly consists of tables (as indicated by the dotted outlines in your screenshot) containing a plethora of ActiveX controls. To delete the ActiveX controls, click on the Ribbon's Developer tab, then on Design Mode (in the Controls group). You can then select a given ActiveX control to delete it.

Excellent! Enabling the Developer tab allowed me to delete the scroll boxes. Thanks for the help.
