Hi, I hope someone can help me with this



I need to change the number and order of some endnotes in my word document.
I need to change endnote number 37 into 4, making 4 number 5, 5 number 6 etc.

Im also wondering how I can insert a new endnote into the document, end give it the correct number and appear at the right place in the endnote list.

Really appreciate if someone can help me

The endnote order cannot be anything other than the order in which the references appear in the body of the document. If you need what is now endnote 37 to appear before what is now endnote 4, move the endnote reference for endnote 37 to a location before the reference for endnote 4.

As Paul wrote, the numbering of endnotes will be in order of appearance.

However, if you are saying that you want to restart endnotes at a specific location, you can do that in the Footnote and Endnote dialog box, if you first insert a section break (in the main body of the document).
