Footnotes / Endnotes? | See attachment
Hi folks,
Attached is something I put together manually. I tried to use footnotes / endnotes but they reformatted the text such that it became broken up. Is there a way to automate this? The reason I ask is - imagine I wanted to insert something between 2 and 3 - all the numbering would need changing. Thanks in advance, |

You could use SEQ fields to generate the number sequence in the document body, coupled with a parallel set of SEQ fields to generate the number sequence in the table. Alternatively, you could generate just the one set of SEQ fields to generate the number sequence, bookmark each field, then use cross-references in the table/body as appropriate. If you add/delete SEQ fields, pressing Ctrl-A, F9 will update all the others, including any cross-references.
Personally, I'd prefer to use endnotes with Section breaks where appropriate and the endnotes configured for placement at the end of, and to reset numbering for, each Section.
