I am editing away in Word 2016 desktop version and it keeps jumping to another page. What the heck?!?

If the cursor is jumping, I would suspect a laptop with an overly sensitive touchpad, but always to the next page would be unusual.

Does this happen when you press the Enter key?

Does it drag text you have just typed with you onto a new page while you are typing?

I am just typing away and it jumps to another page (not using the mouse.)

I just hit save and it jumped 3 pages! WEIRD!

If it's a laptop, the cause is most likely an inadvertent brushing of the touchpad.
