Default Trying to generate a result from selections

I am not sure where this type of question belongs because I am not sure exactly what action needs to be performed.

Goal: I want to generate one of multiple possible results that I set, after a user selects from two different "drop-down list content control" boxes. I have a word document that I have created for work. This document is going to rank items that my sales team brings in. They basically add up a few numbers and select what the totals are from these two boxes.

Based on the options they select in these two boxes - I would like this document to generate a response. That response will be 1 of 7 possibilities: A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C.

I don't know the type of action I need to perform to do this, so I really didn't know where to start to research how to achieve this.

Thank you in advance.

What you want to do would require some VBA programming, which would be easier to do if we had access to the actual document. To use the macros concerned, they would have to be saved in the template the document uses - and all users would need access to that template - or they would have to be saved with the documents, using the .docm format - and your users would have to allow the macros to run.

Can you attach the document to a post with the dropdowns concerned and the output areas indicated (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Depending on your requirements, an alternative way of addressing the problem would be to use formfields. From your description, it seems field coding could generate the desired output without the need for macros.
