The "body of text" for all odd-numbered pages are all "vertically-centered-aligned".
Here is a picture that you can probably just scroll through and read the captions to see what I'm referring to.
More info, if needed: Basically, the book is perfect how I want it right now, except for the alternate, previous ending I wrote that I am now trying to delete. Just pretend that the alternate ending is like Chapter 51, and I only want to have 50 chapters. When I delete Chapter 51 (or the alternate ending) it makes everything aligned in the middle of the page vertically. Again, to make this clear, I have TWO ENDINGS to my story. I want to delete the second one, the one after the "asdf" you'll see in the picture. I think it has something to do with some kind of formatting for the beginning of the story. My "PART ONE" is vertically aligned perfectly, and everything before that is too, pretty much. I am using a template I downloaded from CreateSpace (a self-publishing company by Amazon), and basically just "filled in the blanks" of that template with my novel, but I had to erase some stuff here and add some stuff there. Anyways, for some reason or another, I can't get rid of the "asdf" text and everything after it, finishing my novel, without it altering every odd page in the book. Any help would be greatly appreciated! PS: If you'd like to see the entire manuscript in order to fix it, just respond with your email or shoot me a personal message with your email and I'd be happy to do so. PPS: Also, if there is a way to hide page numbers and the footer and header from just one page without messing with the page numbers, that'd be great, because I'd really like to keep "PART TWO" clean and simple like "PART ONE" is. |

Without seeing the two endings in the actual problem document (not just a screenshot), it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with just those endings (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Okay, I attached it. I had to cut about half of the novel to fit the forum's attachement's requirements, but it's attached. It made the even numbers centered I think. But either way if I can figure it out this way I should for the other. Thanks so much for your help!

The issue is caused by you having the page layout set to centred alignment. On a PC, you'd fix this by going to:
Page Layout|Page Setup>>Layout and changing the Vertical Alignment to Top. I don't know the Mac path to the same command. Do not that you might need to adjust some of your pages after doing this. The alternative is to leave the page layout alone and, after the final paragraph, press the ENTER key however many times you need to to force the content on the last page to the top.

Presumably it's somewhere under Layout>Page Setup. Where did you look? Moreover, since yours isn't the normal page layout for a document, you've previously used that command to create the existing layout...
