Unexpected formatting issue
Hi there,
I am using MS Word 2007 in Windows 8.1 x86 PC. I have a strange problem in my MS word. I am using auto correct feature in word. Sometimes, the auto corrected text will displayed as BOLD text. I have setup all my auto correct entries are in normal font. Not in BOLD. But when i type the trigger letters, the auto correct text will be there in BOLD face. How to avoid this. And the another strange thing is, If i closed this document and reopened it, Some text will be in BOLD face. If i put my cursor on any bold letter, the BOLD button on ribbon menu won't be highlighted. That means that text is not bold but it is look like as if it is BOLD. Please help me. |

Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

There is something going on in that document I don't understand and can't really explore as I don't have the Rachana font. However, it appears the text surrounding your autotext is formatted as bold but the autotext is not. Accordingly, it appears you've overridden the Normal Style's format with a bold font but the autotext is respecting the Style definition. Even so (for me), toggling the bold property of either or both of the autotext and the surrounding text doesn't seem to have any effect; neither does changing the Style definition, but that all may be because I don't have the Rachana font.

@macropod,
Here is Rachana Font for testing. Though, i can't upload a ttf file, i am pasting a link to that font. Please check it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/8282...5870082451489/ |

It appears that your document has acquired some of corruption. Corrupt documents can often be 'repaired' by inserting a new, empty, paragraph at the very end, copying everything except that new paragraph to a new document based on the same template (headers & footers may need to be copied separately), closing the old document and saving the new one over it.
